Our complex of 6 cabins fully equipped for 5 persons is located on the banks of Chimehuin River and surrounded by mountains, in the city of Junin de los Andes, province of Neuquen. The geographical center of the Patagonian tourist circuit. From here you can easily reach a large number of lakes and rivers.
Junín de los Andes was founded in 1883. It has become famous for being in its heyday one of the meccas of trout fishing in Argentina, is considered the National Capital of the Trout .
Junín de los Andes is surrounded by a unique nature, rivers and clear streams meandering down the mountains of the Lanin National Park. In Curruhué Malleo, rivers, and in the Huechulafquen, Epulafquen, Paimún, Tromen, Curruhué Chico, Curruhué Grande, Laguna Verde and other lakes, you can capture the rainbow trout, brown and brook.
The mouth of the river Chimehuín is a Provincial Protected Area and a special place for fishing. Lots of fishermen arrive in the village along the fishing season (November to May). In November important events are usually carried out in relation to the activity as the National Trout Festival and Fly Expo.
Its natural setting allows activities like trekking, horseback riding and mountain biking, among others, crossing wonderful landscapes.
Another interesting option is to enjoy a relaxing day at the spa of Lahuen Co and observe the "Escorial", a lava formation prosecuted in an ancient glacial valley that has generated a striking landscape.
Near the city is the Lanin National Park where you can visit the Laguna Verde, Huechulafquen, Paimún, Epulafquen, Lolog, Tromen, Curruhué Carilafquen and other lakes. And getting to the base of the impressive Lanin volcano with 3776 meters high and its top snowy all the year its very much appreciated by climbing lovers.
